Last Day of 1st Grade

Oh my goodness - I can't believe that the very last day is already here! I have enjoyed you all so very much and I just know that you are going to do so well in 2nd grade! You all have worked so very hard, and I have enjoyed spending my days watching you learn and grow. I love you so very much and will miss you over the summer break! Have fun and be careful! Don't forget to READ, READ, READ!

Cleaning Up

The last couple of days we have been cleaning our classroom from top to bottom. Who knew cleaning could be so much fun?!? Maybe this could be a way to get your child to help out at home....I had no complaints! :)

Purple Glove Dance

Here it is! We had so much fun dancing and raising money for the American Cancer Society. Don't forget to go to YouTube everyday and watch our video - the school that has the most people view their video will win $5,000. Look close - we are dancing to Rockin' Robin...can you spot our class?!?

Field Day Fun Day!

DIBEL Party

As promised, we had our DIBEL pizza party last Thursday. Since our DIBEL scores were so awesome, we got to enjoy an afternoon of pizza and a movie. Here are just a few pics of our fun afternoon. Thanks so much to all of my wonderful 1st graders for working so hard all year long. I'm super, SUPER proud of all of you! You are the BEST!!!!!

What We've Been Up To

We have tried to keep our secrets safe and sound this week at school and not let the "cat out of the bag" as to what we have been up to this week. We have been busy little bees all week long trying to make sure everything is just perfect for our wonderful mothers this weekend. Your children have worked so hard sharing, writing, and creating gifts especially for you this week. We hope that you enjoy all of them - I promise each one was made with LOTS of love. Happy Mother's Day! Thanks for sharing and trusting me with your precious little one!

At P.E. this week, we have been getting ready for the "Purple Glove Dance" that will be videotaped next week. Everyone was so excited to show me all their moves that they have been learning and working on. Here is a sneek peek of what's to come...

Just another reminder that there will NOT be a spelling test or Day 5 test this week. We are reviewing and taking the End of the Year test this week. It's very important that your child be at school this week because this test will help determine their placement in 2nd Grade next year. (WOW-that sounds funny...I can't believe that they are almost 2nd Graders!!!) We will have our spelling test next Thursday, May 13th. Field Day will be on the following Friday, May 14th.
